Summer holidays can only mean one thing… becoming addicted to a TV series and watching it back to back for days. My personal favourite this summer is ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’. I love watching the program - the family’s lavish life style and running around 24/7 in between cities, states and countries whilst managing their press events as well as the Dash stores is right up my street. However the usual stars of the show (Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian) better keep a close watch on their up and coming baby sisters, (Kendall and Kylie Jenner) as they give them a run for their money…
At the ages of 19 and 17, the Jenner sisters’ careers have more than taken off. Both have been involved with modeling and acting and have now also launched their first clothing line which was released back in February 2013 called "Kendall & Kylie" available exclusively at PacSun. They have since released a science fiction novel together titled, ‘Rebels: City of Indra’ which is about two girls with superpowers who embark on a journey together. The focus in the media had always tended to sway towards Kendall and her runway modeling capability however Kylie is shining in her own right now with her amazing style and wardrobe, which I, for one, cannot get enough of.
I follow Kylie on Instagram so receive regular inputs from her wardrobe. She combines edgy with boho and street wear yet somehow still looks effortlessly chic in the process. Keeping it simple with staple colours like Kylie using mostly white, black and pastel blue, you can mix and match your entire wardrobe and it becomes a lot easier to wear the same pieces more than once. The idea is to have one main focus point on your outfit/look and then work around that; this could be anything from your hair and makeup, to a nice coat/ jacket or heels.
1st picture- at the May 2014 Billboard awards in Las Vegas wearing my personal favourites, the Christian Louboutin Impera heels and an Alex Perry Chancey Dress. I have seen replicas of the dress on both Missguided and ASOS (and yes they’re already in my shopping basket).
2nd Picture- opting for a comfy casual look at her book signing in LA in June wearing a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti Lace-Up Pumps, a Greylin Summer 2014 Delfina Perforated Suede Cropped Top and proving she’s also a high street lover in the Topshop plain Fedora Hat.
3rd picture- Leaving a New York hotel in June wearing a Barbara Bui Spring 2014 Ready-To-Wear mini Dress and Gianvitto Rossi heels. The dress is young and playful for the teen queen and the muted pastel colours are perfect for Spring/ Summer.
4th picture- out in Malibu in July wearing a pair of Alice + Olivia Dae Stretch Over The Knee Boots. I am in awe of most thigh highs at the moment after seeing them storm the Autumn Winter 14/15 runways particularly in the Maison Martin Margiela and Versace shows. Kylie shows a perfect example of keeping it casual in the day by teaming them with an oversized shirt and denim shorts.
5th picture- out in West Hollywood back in July wearing an Alexander Wang Boxy Pinstriped Top & Shorts, Ann Demeulemeester Double-Zip Ankle Boots and a black Givenchy bag. Simply understated with a hint of Goth and it’s oh so chic.
6th Picture- showing she can also pull off street wear in LA this month by wearing the sold out Hood By Air 1/2 Organza Hockey Jacket and again accompanied by her trusty Ann Demeulemeester Double-Zip Ankle Boots and Givenchy bag.
So keep it up because you’re killin’ it Kyls!
